Join In a Weekend Long Environmental Celebration
If you have yet to experience a well-organized zero waste event or are willing to lend your hands, please consider volunteering for the Burning River Festival on Whiskey Island in downtown Cleveland. It helps OALPRP too. Learn more about the June 21st and 22nd festival on www.burningriverfest.org. As the Zero Waste Coordinator supplying over a dozen volunteers last year, OALPRP earned some fundraising dollars from the Burning River Foundation. Many other groups provide different volunteers to help make the weekend evening event a success. You’ll hear some great music or watch the silent disco as you help sort attendees compost and recycling. The shifts are about 3 hours and can be done with other family or friends. Make a weekend of it. Many environmental celebration are happening all weekend long for Cuyahoga50.org. Great Lakes Science Museum is free on Sunday from noon – 5 p.m.

Please sign up on https://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/ap?ap=972786092 as a zero waste volunteer.
